Most anime tees sold locally are screen prints: a single printed panel ironed onto the front of a plain shirt. They look decent on day one, then the print cracks in the wash and fades by week six. Imported official merch avoids that problem but costs Rs 6,000+ after shipping and customs — for a t-shirt.

All-over sublimation is the difference

The dye is infused into the fabric itself, so the artwork wraps the entire shirt — front, back, sleeves — and it can't crack or peel, because there's nothing sitting on top of the fabric to crack. The colours stay sharp wash after wash, which matters when the whole point of the shirt is the artwork.
